Paty's Spanish Classes
I did lessons with Paty for 4 months while I was in La Ventana. She is an excellent instructor and I feel like I really progressed. She is a very thorough instructor, you get a lot accomplished in each lesson and if you want homework you can really progress in between as well.I look forward to working with her the next time I am in La Ventana

Paty's Spanish Classes
Kind and patient. We just talked and she gave me notes of vocabulary and principles that would enable me to generalize and progress. She spoke slowly and clearly. Her main goal (for me) was communication and not linguistic perfection. I love Duolingo but the mental work of making your own sentences and using what you learned in your own context is not reachable through the app. I loved learning Spanish at 5pm after the wind died down and then going to a restaurant and ordering in Spanish!Patty is clearly a professional teacher... not just a patient Spanish speaker. When I asked why" her answers showed a real depth of understanding structure and an ability to communicate to me. Thanks Patty! There won't be a trip to kite without a few lessons!"

I wish I would have started take lessons with Paty from the day I arrived in La Ventana! I am glad I got a referral from another student of hers as I better learn one-on-one than in a large class. Paty was very patient with me as a total beginner. She also introduced me to the Mexican culture beside the Spanish lessons. I enjoyed very much every hour! And will certainly continue with her during my stay next winter.Thanks so much Paty
