Dressel Divers Puerto Vallarta

This dive shop was first rate. Kevin is super patient and thorough and takes his time underwater. Not to mention only 4 divers total per trip to see all eels, fish, starfish and coral. We are very novice divers (this was #20) and it had been a while since our last dive. My wife actually needed more time when she got in the water and Kevin was amazing; he helped her relax in the cooler Pacific temperatures. We stayed at the Conrad and they were located next door at Iberostar. Just a quick walk down the beach. Super easy. We had never dove the Pacific before. It was colder than we expected. We used their 5ml wetsuit and were glad we had gloves. We would definitely recommend Kevin and Katharina. Our only regret was not bringing the Gopro and having another day to dive. When we come back to Punta Mita we will book more than two dives with Kevin and Katharina at Drexel Divers.

I usually do not write negative reviews, but I felt this one is warranted. I have to admit this is the worst dive experience I have ever had in my 31 year history of diving. Where to start: We dove the same location for more than two of our dives. We paid good money for our adult kids to become advanced certified. The dive master was knowledgeable but had a horrible attitude until the last day. My husband ended up getting sick with a cold and couldn’t dive 4 of his dives, with an offer for a partial voucher, no refund. One of the kids ended up getting sea sick and couldn’t finish her certification because the boat they used was a glorified John boat at best. Their dive boat has been out of commission since 20 which was never relayed to us until after we arrived to dive. The boat would take on water and the captain had to scoop out the water while driving. We had to carry our own tanks and equipment a distance. The equipment was horrible; it either didn’t work, broke, or leaked. They did not supply snacks or water on our two tank dives. The boat captains each day were great on the boat and brought the water.

Our family did a whale watching excursion. It was the best experience. Kat was an amazing person to have with. She had so much knowledge and was so kind. Kevin was easy to work with setting up the excursion. We saw so many whales and our kids had so much fun. Absolutely breath taking!

Great professional team works there ! We took amazing boat and snorkeling tour to Marietas Islands in a small group. Everything went on a high level. We were happy to be there. I highly recommend this tour. Thank you

My husband and I went to Dressel Divers Puerto Vallarta to do two open water dives this past Thanksgiving weekend. We had an wonderful experience with Dressel, and Kevin and Ivan were fantastic instructors to do our dives with. They were patient, informative, and extremely knowledgeable of the dive sites we went to. We felt completely safe the whole time. Not to mention they both had great personalities and made the dives very enjoyable. We saw very diverse wildlife (groups of pufferfish, MANY eels, schools of fish, healthy corals, etc.) while on the dives.We would highly recommend Dressel to anyone looking to dive in the area. We stayed at the Conrad, which was just a 5 minute walk down the beach from the dive shop.

The only thing my husband and I planned to do on our trip was to go diving. Kat and Kevin were so accommodating and friendly from the very start! Both were very knowledgeable about the area and local wildlife. You can tell they have a passion for enjoying and protecting the local environment. During the ride out on the boat, Kevin pointed out multiple bird species, land forms, and potential marine species we may come in contact with. Even underwater, he made sure we saw as much as possible, and we did! Great trip for a decent price. Definitely recommend.

We had the best time snorkeling with Kevin, of Dressel Divers! He took us out to a gorgeous spot and was extremely knowledgeable about the area, birds, rock formations, and the history. We really enjoyed learning about our surroundings. He also knew exactly where to find certain fish to see- so beautiful. It was the perfect amount of time for my 8 yr old. We absolutely loved our tour and will not hesitate to book scuba diving with him and his wife next year when we return! Thank you so much!!!

We’ve used Kat & Kevin twice now over the past few years…whale watching 3 years ago and now for snorkelling. They continue to impress us with their customer service and knowledge and expertise. They are very accommodating and generous with their time when the whales and dolphins are out to play! Highly recommended…you won’t be disappointed.Kat/Kevin…we’ll see you again next year!

Dressel Divers scuba diving was one of the most amazing experiences! I had never been scuba diving before and naturally was very nervous. Kevin and Bruno were incredible at teaching me everything I needed to know to feel confident in myself before going on the dive. Once diving, they instilled even more confidence in me with their expertise and professionalism. On our dives we saw the most gorgeous wildlife- octopus, moray eel, starfish, sea urchin, fish of every colour, gorgeous coral, and schools of thousands and thousand of jack that circled us and swam around us. On our boat ride to the sites we saw schools of dolphin jumping out of the water. My experience was remarkable, and as a result, I am now enrolled in a PADI certification course back where I am from to get fully certified. I am so grateful for this experience and can't recommend it enough!
